A witch has gotta eat. Here are some sites where you might arrange to get paid for what you’d do anyway, and maybe make some new friends along the way.
If you’re in the U.S. or Canada, GigSalad can help you get gigs at events. People looking for a psychic/diviner/real witch to perform, speak, or teach can search there and hire you. They have a specific category called “Psychic Entertainment”.
It’s an international booking directory where you get a very nice profile page with lots of flexibility. Membership is about $35 per year, which is very reasonable for what you get. If you don’t live in the U.S. or Canada, this is one of the best places to sign up. They have a specific category for Tarot readers and a few other things we tend to be into.

Join many independent contractors and freelancers getting gig work on Fiverr. I haven’t heard much bad or much good about them. Sometimes with these kinds of websites, no news is good news. Here’s my profile there. I’m leading by example.

This list is kind of short because most sites I find are just scams to try to bilk money out of people with very little or no returns. Notice Patreon, Quora, and YouTube are not listed here. Though they may be good hosts for some content, once it gets into money, it’s problematic. Some people with relatively low numbers of followers, especially those outside the U.S. have had problems getting their payments from them. They also have a problem of promoting “white” supremacists, homophobes, and anti vaxers. Until they handle their fascist problems, I don’t feel comfortable recommending that anyone share space with them in a way that could put them in harm’s way or legal responsibility for terrorism.
The hammer is coming down, and people simply being hosted in a a place may not draw fire, but certainly if you are directly profiting from people who encourage terrorism, you will get caught in the sweep.
This is why, you may notice, Arden and I basically only use YouTube as video hosting. They’ve made some gains in nixing some of the worst, but it’s still not clean. Also there’s still the problem of recruiting but not paying people from impoverished areas to join their monetization program.
If you’re running a good directory or booking system that is free or reasonable, and welcoming to witches and Pagans, contact us.
