A Dip at the Oshun SpringAfter an interesting afternoon on a chat at a supposedly Pagan site, I got a good reminder of why I built Witch University, and why it was needed.

Someone actually presumed to scold me for assuming that when he said “a colleague” in Israel, without specifying what type of colleague, I assumed he meant a fellow Pagan or at least occultist.  After the third or fourth post from this guy, I had enough of being told how wrong I was for having “Pagan on the brain” at a specifically labeled Pagan site, and humorously mentioned the stick up his other end…at which point a chorus of oh so offended, oh so wonderful, oh so perfect people decided that I was a monster for standing up for myself.

:: sigh ::

I was informed, disappointingly, that because the site happened to have all sorts of people, it was horrid to assume that I was talking to fellow Pagans there.  At that point, I understood why so many of my actually Pagan colleagues had either abandoned the place, been banned from it, or decided to do the internet version of backing away slowly.  I myself kind of avoided it for over a year because it seemed to be yet another “white light” hypocrisy circle jerk.

At that moment, I sort of debated with myself whether I should keep an account there.  I figure I will unless or until I get banned, since there may be some chance that the reason places like that become the way they are is because people like me keep leaving, and don’t stay and represent.  So I’ll stay there, but I’m not kissing anybody’s butt to stay there.

…but as for here, let me make this very clear: this site is for WITCHES.  If you are not a witch, an aspiring witch, or very cool with witches, you do not belong here.  I will not tolerate any harassment or intimidation of witches here.

This is not a place for “occultists” who do not consider themselves Pagans or witches.

This is not a place for people of any religion to try to save anyone from witchcraft or Paganism.

This is not a place for “white witches” or “white” witches who have a problem with people who do real witchcraft that deals with real life issues, or real witches who come from all ethnicities.

…and you can call me a villain if you like, but I’m quite used to being very politically incorrect.  This is Witchytown.  If you ain’t from around these parts, you need to high-tail it to somewhere someone is going to put up with your mess.  It’s not here.

The goal of this site is not to get the most members.  It’s to have the best members.

Blessings and Ase!
